I could eat a toasted turkey sandwich with melted cheese for lunch every day and die a happy woman. Throw in some sweet tomatoes or sweet peppers and something salty and crunchy, like almonds or wheat thins, and I'm set. Having worked at a preschool in the past, I'd say I'm sort of an expert on how 3 to 6-year-olds eat lunch. (As if that's a thing.) Aaaaand, I totally fit right in with them.
Lunch is always prettier with flowers, right?
The flowers in the wine bottle are from my bouquet from my dear friend Emily's wedding back in July. Wonder how they've lasted this long?! They're silk. ;) The dying flowers in the small vase are from my friend Sarah's wedding that was just last weekend.
Silk flowers for the WIN!
Now that school has been going for almost three weeks, I think I'm finally settled into my weekly schedule. It goes something like this:
Monday: work (at a local clothing boutique) from 10:00-4:00, class from 4:30-7:00
Tuesday: work from 10:00-5:00, class from 5:30-8:00
Wednesday: off all day!
Thursday: work from 10:00-4:00, class from 4:30-8:00
Friday: off!
I swear, I'm starting to enjoy the days that I have work and class more than my days off. Does that sound crazy? Well, here's my reasoning... I usually don't use my days off as an actual day "off". I spend them doing grocery shopping, laundry, cleaning, errands like going to the bank, picking up dry cleaning, drinking mass amounts of coffee... I'd much rather sit on my butt and watch HGTV with my kitten curled up on my chest.
I mean, how cute is she?!
So, if I didn't get all of those - we'll call them, chores - done on my days off, I'd feel super inadequate. Ok, maybe that's the wrong word. I'd just feel, like a lazy bum. ;) I know there's only going to be more to do as our lives get busier. And, I actually love the thought of that. :)
Oh hey, did I mention? FALL IS DEFINITELY HERE. :)
Wishing all of you a great rest of the week and a super duper happy weekend!
