About Me

Hi! I'm Kacey, a Nebraska-born gal, who didn't fully appreciate the Midwest lifestyle until I became an "adult"...whatever that means. :) But, boy, do I love it here. It's true what they say about Omaha... everyone is SO NICE. Besides the winters, there truly is "no place like Nebraska"!

Anyway, I'm not sure how you came across this page, but I'm so glad you did! :) Let me fill you in...

I met my husband, Drew, while we were both working for a minor league baseball team.  (The short version of this story is that my boss set us up.) After our first date I called my mom and told her that I had found the guy I'm going to marry - - he just doesn't know it yet. Drew swears that the moment he met me he wanted to marry me. Adorable, right? Not sure I buy it, though... ;) Well, I guess you could say both of our dreams came true when we got married on a sweltering June afternoon in 2014. Drew is truly the most genuine, caring, and hilarious person I have ever met!  Without knowing it, he pushes me to be a better person every day. He's my partner-in-crime, my biggest inspiration and my most handsome love.

After receiving my degree in Health Education, I wandered around the "real world" for a year and a half, trying out this whole full time job thing.  It took me a while, but I realized my dream job was still out there.  I decided to further my education in hopes of eventually finding the career that best suits me.  So, I am still in the midst of finishing my Graduate Degree in Health Education.  My dream job would be a Breastfeeding Educator and/or Lactation Specialist.

Drew and I have always dreamed of having a family. That was never an awkward subject between us. It was just a desire that we both shared. So, fast forward to 2015. We decided we wanted to start trying in December. Aaaaand then I got pregnant in November. :) We both had no idea it would happen so quickly, and we were so incredibly thankful that it did. 40 weeks and 6 days later, on August 18th, after pushing through two contractions... I gave birth to our beautiful, perfect baby girl, Logan Kathleen! I think I can speak for both Drew and myself when I say that we have no idea what life was like before she was here. God made her just for us and we are so lucky and so blessed.  Even though our little miss is only 2 months old, I feel like I've been a mother my whole life. And motherhood is one wild and crazy ride, that I wouldn't trade for anything. We just love our Lo/Logie Bear/Logan Love/Peanut Pants (and so many other nicknames) so incredibly much!

Aside from my hottie husband, my adorable baby girl and my passion for health education, I have an unhealthy obsession with HGTV... which means I am also obsessed with decorating our home. I thrive on finding thrifted, antique and/or up-cycled pieces to accent our walls and shelves. I'm nowhere near as crafty as my amazingly talented mother, but I like to think I have a somewhat artistic eye. I studied photography for 3 years and have recently been perfecting my videography skills as well. I would love to make my way in the world of wedding video someday!

So, here I am. A 28-year-old wife, mother and graduate student pretending like I've got it all figured out. ;) Please, join me relishing this beautiful life and all it has to offer!

<3, Kace
