First Family Vacay!

FINALLY blogging about our amazing trip to Hollandale Beach, Florida! Seriously such a relaxing, beautiful time. Logan did so well on the plane (if you're interested, maybe I'll do a separate post about traveling with a busy toddler) and she was seriously obsessed with the beach and the sand. I wish we could go back! She says "beach" almost every day :( Sweetest girl.

Teeth Whitening for Sensitive Teeth

Hi, strangers! Long time, no see ;) That's my fault, though! It has been an absolutely CRAZY busy year so far. But I wouldn't have it any other way!

Even with how busy we've been, I still managed to find time to fit teeth whitening into my schedule. You're probably thinking... you need to carve out time to whiten your teeth? Believe me, that was new to me!

When Smile Brilliant reached out to me to give their custom-fit teeth whitening trays a try, I was very intrigued, but also a bit nervous. I do have sensitive teeth, like many people, and I struggled SO much when I got my teeth bleached at my dentist's office. I remember lying there, about 10 minutes into the hour long treatment, not being able to talk and being in SO.MUCH.PAIN! It was seriously so uncomfortable. So, when I heard that this whitening gel has the same strength as a bleaching at the dentist's office, I was worried I'd have those same sensitivity issues. However, Smile Brilliant is BRILLIANT and they include a desensitizing gel!!! It is so smart and so effective.

The first step in this process is to make the mold for your teeth. I've already done this a few times in the past for teeth whitening, so I felt like an old pro! ;) But the directions are very straight forward. After you make the molds for your top and bottom teeth, you send them back in a pre-paid envelope and they make the custom trays to fit your teeth and mail them to you!

The first couple of times I whitened, I started with 45 minutes. I worked my way up to 1.5 hours, but you can work all the way up to 3 hours! The longer you whiten, the brighter your teeth will be. As soon as you're done with the whitening gel, you use the desensitizing gel. This is K E Y! Like I said, I was in the most uncomfortable position when I got my teeth bleached at the dentist. I didn't have any pain or discomfort with this process because of the desensitizing gel.

With my trays in! You can hardly tell! You could run errands with these in and no one even notice.

I usually did my whitening after dinner and after Logan went to bed. We would watch a show or read or do laundry or just relax for a few hours before bed and I fit my whitening in then perfectly!

Before + after! I took the second photo after only THREE treatments!!! I seriously cannot say enough good things about Smile Brilliant. The whole process was seamless and fun and I had AMAZING results!
