Logan Kathleen: 3 months old!

Our girl is THREE months old today! She is turning into such a big girl and we are so proud of her!

We went to the doctor today for a "weight check" since she was on the small side at her 2 month appointment, and she's doing grrrrrreat! She's in the 20th percentile for weight and the 80th percentile for height. Surprise, surprise! She's still our long, skinny girl. Her doctor showed me the growth curve she's on and she called it the "super model" line, haha. Overall, her doc was very impressed with her weight gain! I've learned that breastfeeding can be somewhat stressful when you're working so hard to make sure your baby gains enough weight. In the end, I just have to trust in God and trust in myself that I'm doing the best I can for her.

Weight: 11 pounds 11 ounces

Height: 24.25 inches

Size: Size 1 in diapers, officially fitting into 3 months clothes in most brands and officially NOT fitting any newborn clothes! What?! Where did my baby go???

Nicknames: Lo, Logie, Logie Bear, LoLo, Logo, Log, Peanut, Peanut Pants, Little Miss, Sweet Girl, Sweet One, Goober, Stinky, Booger Nose, the list goes on and on... :)

Eating: Every 3-4 hours, still breastfeeding (unless I'm gone while she needs to eat, which has only happened, like, 4 times).

Sleeping: She has gone 7-8 hours a handful of times, but typically it's only 5 to 6 hours at night. Her doctor said that's not surprising since she's so skinny, she said it might be a while before she has enough fat stored up to sleep through the night, AKA: mom & dad are stillllll exhausted, lol, but it's so worth it!

Loves: Bath time, being naked, standing up with help from us, sitting up in her boppy pillow and her Fisher Price Sit-Me-Up chair from aunt Leigh - - she always looks so proud of herself! She also loves her orange rattle/ball, her crinkly butterfly (she grabs onto them and puts them in her mouth!) and her Baby Einstein toy.

Doesn't love: Getting out of the bath, getting dressed, getting boogers sucked out of her nose (can you blame her?!) and when everyone in the room isn't paying attention to her!

Milestones: She "talks" so much & makes so many different noises. She started clicking her tongue and blowing spit bubbles. Cutest thing EVER! She rolls over front to back, but hasn't seemed interested in rolling over back to front yet. She's learning to like tummy time more, probably because we put a big mirror in front of her so she can look at herself! I can pretty much carry her with one arm on my hip, she is SO strong. She smiles all the time and just the other day I heard her first official giggle! I've been trying so hard and acting like a crazy person to get her to giggle more, hopefully it becomes a regular occurrence. :)

Features: She still has so much hair, even though it is receding just a bit at the front. It's definitely lightening up a bit compared to the black color it was when she was born! We can't quite figure out exactly what her eye color is/will be... Most of the time they look brown, but in some lights they look like a really dark blue on the edges! It'll be interesting to see what they turn into years from now. She's still daddy's twin, but every once in a while I'll notice a "Kacey" look from her... :)

Fun stuff: She peed on daddy yesterday! He thought he could walk around with her without a diaper on, boy was he wrong! She also sneezed and farted at the same time the other day. Hopefully she doesn't read this when she's older, I'm sure she'll be mad at me for including both of those! ;) She's been drooling like CRAZY! Her doctor said she might drool for a whole month before any teeth come in, but she did show me where her bottom teeth are... pretty cool! Not quite ready for every else that comes with teething, though... :(

Check out our goofy, happy girl!

She's been super snuggly lately, and I have a feeling she's starting to go through the stage where she's super attached to mama - - which I am NOT complaining about! ;) She only gets upset when she's over tired or hungry... and trust me, you don't want to hear her hungry cry! She is truly a joy and is such a happy, pleasant and healthy baby. We are truly blessed to be her parents and we thank God for her every day. Thanks for following along!

<3, Kace
