Logan Kathleen: 4 months old!

A little update on our 4-month-old! All I want for Christmas is for time to s-l-o-w d-o-w-w-w-w-n! Miss Logan is truly a joy to be around. She is changing so much and getting bigger and stronger every day. She's developing quite the personality. I've noticed some sassy and goofy sides of her lately! This month has been so much fun. I've had dreams about starting Christmas traditions of our own as a family, and they are starting to come true!

Weight: 13 pounds

Height: 25.5 inches

Size: Barely fitting in size 1 in diapers, wears mostly 3 month clothing and some 3-6 month onesies!

Nicknames: Lo, Logie, Logie Bear, LoLo, Logo, Log, Peanut, Peanut Pants, Little Miss, Sweet Girl, Sweet One, Goober, Stinky, Booger Nose...whatever comes to our minds :)

Eating: Every 3-4 hours, still breastfeeding

Sleeping: Typically a 6-6.5 hour stretch at night (I feed her and she's right back to sleep for 4-5 hours) and we're finally getting on a more consistent nap schedule while we're at home, too - usually a 1-2 hour nap in the morning and a 2-2.5 hour nap in the afternoon

Loves: Anything that I'm doing, watching people, kitties and dogs, bath time - especially kicking and splashing the water, getting kisses, sitting on daddy's shoulders, stamping her feet, her snuggle bear from Aunt Leigh and JUMPING!!! Our friends are loaning us their jump-a-roo and oh my gosh, it is life-changing! She could play in that for hours if we'd let her!

Doesn't love: When she pulls her suckie out of her mouth (still getting the hang of those hands!), when the kitties run away from her, being on her back - see next section for milestones :)

Milestones: Well I jinxed myself last month saying she wasn't interested in rolling over back to front, because now she's doing it all the time!!! She truly amazes us with how strong she is. Now, pretty much any time she's on her back, she rolls over, including when we're trying to change her diaper, now that's fun! She giggles practically every day - when mommy yawns, daddy fake laughs, the kitties walk by, nana's puppy does tricks, she sees something on TV... it's always a surprise. :) She's a lot more interactive, when she sits on our laps, she reaches for everything that's in front of her, including food we may be eating! She's just very interested in everything we're doing.

Features: She is definitely starting to look like a balding old man! Especially on the back of her head. :) But, still has enough hair to fit into pigtails!!! **see photo below!** FInally filling out, starting to get some chunky thighs! Maybe starting to look a bit more like mommy? It honestly depends on the day. It's fun to try to point out features we see in her, but in the end - she's just our Logan, she has her own look to her and she is perfect!

Fun stuff: We have already done some fun and festive activities this holiday season! We brought her to Drew's holiday work party, which was so sweet. She got passed around and loved on all night! Last weekend we joined Drew's family at a spectacular Christmas symphony concert... it was truly magical! Drew did have to take Lo and walk around with her for a bit when she got fussy, but during the rest of the show she was completely enthralled. She jumped on our laps and "talked" the whole time! Seeing the performance through her eyes was indescribable... and definitely made me a little emotional. I hope she continues to love shows like that as much as I do! Logan also met SANTA last weekend!!! You guys. It was the best. She sat up on his lap like a perfect little doll and smiled so big! I'm guessing we won't have the same story to tell next year... ;)

She got her 4-month shots yesterday and has had a bit of a cold the last few days, so needless to say, she hasn't been feeling the best today. She is handling it like a champ, though. It is such a wonderful feeling to be able to literally "nurse" my sick baby. I love that I can instantly make her feel better. That is so special to me!

Logan is truly the sweetest baby we could have ever imagined God blessing us with. And we thank him every day for doing so!

Thanks for following along!

<3, Kace
